eden.pm (Jan 2025 - Present)

A serene digital workspace that helps you achieve flow state. It combines ambient visuals, calming audio, and focused productivity tools into a distraction-free environment.

The Spark

The idea was born out of personal frustration. While working retail and completing university, I struggled to find a focus tool that had the specific features I needed to manage my burnout. I found popular tools lacking, so I decided to build my own solution.

I bootstrapped the entire project as a solopreneur, working nights and weekends to bring the vision to life while juggling a full-time schedule.

The "Feature-First" Growth Strategy

With zero marketing budget, I grew eden.pm to 500+ active beta users using a 6-step framework:

  • Spotting the Gap: I monitored competitor forums to find features users were begging for but developers were ignoring.
  • Fastest MVP: I built a bare-bones version in just one month, including only those requested features.
  • Niche Targeting: I went directly to where the users were—subreddits like r/ProductivityApps and r/SideProject—and pitched the benefits, not the features.
  • Free Beta: I removed all barriers to entry by offering the tool for free in exchange for feedback.

Community-Led Development

Growth was powered by a tight feedback loop. I personally emailed every single new user to ask for a "roast" of the product. This made users feel heard and valued, turning early adopters into product evangelists.

Current Status

As of May 2025, the tool had over 500 active beta users and was preparing to exit beta with a sustainable $5/month business model. It stands as a testament to the power of listening to users and shipping fast.
